THE STORY OF THE WHY & OUR VISION

Ugur and Onur worked together in a customer – supplier relationship and faced limitations in the supply chain concerning the topics of transparency, innovation, sustainability and above all reinvention. Moreover, Onur worked with Tine on EMMA Amsterdam, a label with the aim to build an overall sustainable clothing brand that had them face limits in the supply chain as well, which resulted in the strong desire to build an own production company. 

 

This energy united was the starting point for Noy Tekstil. We care that our industry is one of the most polluting industries of our time and we see our organization as a tool to create positive change towards a sustainable future. At the same time, we want to create connection to the wisdom, knowledge and system that is already in place to create inclusion instead of our own little island. With initiatives as EMMA Hand in Hand, a platform to exchange knowledge, learnings, metrics and action plans with all stakeholders, we keep the energy flowing and keep pushing each other towards our vision. In this network, we work on projects together as e.g. 100% natural dyeing methods, the use of recycled materials, organizational structures with the goal of fulfilment and more. 

We want to connect cultures, learn from each other and develop together.

Sustainability in All Aspects 

When we talk about sustainability, we look at different aspects starting from the individual itself. We believe that if we use work as a mean for fulfilment and to serve each other and society, we succeed. In tangible outcome, this means fulfilled and happy stakeholders from employees to customers to the whole community; thinking in abundance and without limits and doing everything out of love and compassion. 

On environmental aspect, this means finding everyday innovation in our actions towards zero-waste, environment-serving and recreational actions that serve our planet, human kind in harmony with nature and our whole eco-system.

Learning on personal as well as on organizational level means starting with the

individual and with that embracing an increasing consciousness level. 

We start at the beginning; when people do not know how to read and write, it is being taught as well as English as a foreign language. This whole process for example  has two sides; the process itself and the result in the end. The process challenges on personal level and can bring up several tensions to tackle as an individual, which results in getting to know yourself on a different level, which is growth. The result of the process is a perspective change; a new door opens that shapes your mind-set and how you view life and your environment; how you embrace challenges. In a country where an English course costs two thirds of a minimum wage, this is an elementary thing to do as an organization. 

This is just one little example besides providing food, education, housing, mortgages, overall inspiring working conditions that we are working on from the start. 

We believe the bigger impact on the long-run is a healthy, open and limitless mind-set by an increasing consciousness and awareness level. This is only possible when all other needs are met as well. 

However, this is a core part of the health of our organzation. We are all equal but not the same. Everybody contributes differently because everybody has different skills and talents, a different purpose and drive. 

However, in this context we share a purpose that is bigger than ourselves and our vision is to lead by example in our industry to create an overall sustainable future for our future children and grandchildren.
